New Blog Series: What I’m excited about . . . What I’m bummed about

By Stovall Weems

In this series, I’m going to post most weekdays a few things I am excited about and something I am bummed about.

So to get started . . .

What I am excited about

I am excited about Craig Groeschel and LifeChurch.tv joining the Association of Related Churches.

I got to spend some time with Craig last May and he is a tremendous man of God. It is going to be a lot of fun with him on our team and what a tremendous addition to the ARC.

I am so thankful to be part of the ARC and linked up with a great group of guys. This year we (the ARC) are going to be planting 30 churches nationwide. Go GOD!

What I am bummed about

I saw that ESPN had a preseason college football poll already out for next season and LSU was only ranked #8. What are they thinking?

The 2007 NATIONAL CHAMPION LSU TIGERS are going to be even more talented than last year!

Just a note on the college football poll…We let you have this year. 2008 is gonna be my year and gonna be the DAWGS year and I have absolute and total faith that this will be the year of all years at least where my life is concerned and I can only hope and pray that everyone else gets what they need out of this year because it will be AWESOME!!! GO DÅWGS!!!!
As always—-Dana, child of God, mother of Shane and the biggest (and best) Dawg fan there ever was!!!

An in Terp-retation of frustration? Pastor Stovall…dude, get real and root for the University of Maryland Terrapins.

Elle Est Eauex just barely got by UGA an’ dem Silver Britches will be lookin’ fer some Tiger fur next year, fer sure.

An’ y’all can’t count out Mr. Hometown Gator Heisman Hero, Tebow Da Tim

(led over 225 men to the Lord, passed for 20 TD’s and ran for 20 TD’s – all three (3) major firsts in college ball, especially for a Sophomore.)

Ahrite – he be comin’ back? You must hope NOT…‘cause all the angels in heaven rejoice whenever there’s a soul saved – all the Gators rejoice whenever there’s a Tiger shaved.

As for the new ARC Pastor, Craig – he must be a rock-solid dude – great handle. Sweet website, too.

Great God Almighty…be shinin’ your Glory on your Son, Jesus, LORD. It’s so fine to see you bringing your bride into that same at oneness you share with Jesus. Wooooooheee! Maranatha! Thrust laborers into Your harvest, LORD. Blessed, in Jesus name.
