What I’m Excited About . . . What I’m Bummed About

By Stovall Weems

I am excited about the spiritual hunger of our congregation and the monster attendance weekends we are having at church. Incredible breakthroughs are happening in the lives of so many people during this season of prayer and fasting in our church. We have had hundreds of salvations and so many people are being healed and set free from addictions. The Friday night prayer meetings have been unbelievable.

I am bummed that there is no prayer meeting this Friday night. Man – if you have been to one you know what I am talking about. They have been so much fun. But at least the weekend is gonna be kickin’ with John Bevere!

Pastor, we would love to be a part of whatever God lays on your heart about this.

I am bummed that there is no prayer service tonight too. They have been so awesome and God has shown up in such a powerful way at each one. This has been the best season of prayer and fasting and i can’t wait to see God’s plan for each of our lives unfold in 2008.

I remember when we were looking for a church and we’d gone to a few and we were getting discouraged because we couldn’t find something that we felt at home. Then one day someone told us about Celebration and when we walked in (at UNF) me and my husband looked at each other and said “Yap, this is it…this is home.” We thank God for this time of fasting and praying. God has been good to us. My husband got a new job the first week we started fasting; he wasn’t looking but someone forwarded an email to him and the rest is just God. I think we should do a mid-year fast because I think God wants to do so much more but as the word says “some things require fasting and praying.” We thank God for Pastor Stovall and his family and we want to tell you that your teachings are so relevant the day to day person can find great encouragement and direction. Keep up the great work don’t give up there are many souls tide to your blessing.
