What I’m Excited About . . . What I’m Bummed About
By Stovall's Blog
I am excited about the new service times and being able to go a little bit longer in worship. Also having enough margin between services for adequate exiting and egress. It was just so chaotic with those tight turnarounds.
I am bummed about the latest wave of violence that has hit Jacksonville. It seems like someone is getting shot every other day. I’m praying about what we can do to help some of these communities in our city. I was at a meeting with some pastors and leaders at First Baptist downtown today and we are seeking God on how to unite and make a difference.

I haven’t tuned into the news on the regular but I caught it the other day. I seen somebody got shot in Arlington by a police in self-defense. What a tragedy.
I believe we have to raise the bar a little and people need to get out their comfort zone. It have to be a church alliance and self-awareness. I’m glad to know that you’re doing that. Reaching out to other leaders to see how can the crime reduced.
Let’s go into these streets and preach the gospel. We have to sacrifice. Sometimes it may take some of us to stay up the night shift. Love 4 life!
Stovall,
I am excited about the new service times as well. It is allowing us to have time to meet and fellowship with new people attending Celebration. In the spot last Sunday, you met a man that just moved from Dallas named Richard. He attended the men’s group I lead on Tuesday night, and is diving right in to the men’s ministry. The Spot and the new service times are allowing us to really impact those that are attending and show them how Jesus is moving in the church and our lives.
We need to fire up the men, and the men’s ministry. I am humbled to be used as a vessel for God, and to have the opportunity to lead.
Thanks
Jason
I totally agree about the violence here in Jacksonville. It is so sad that whenever you turn the tv on all you hear in bad things going on. I keep praying that we can change it. It takes so much patience and love to make a difference and it starts at home raising our children to love God and not do bad things.
