What I’m pumped about…

I feel very honored to have been invited by Rick Warren to be one of the speakers at his Purpose Driven Community Conference this week. I have always looked up to him and admired him as a tremendous leader.
Rick has gathered pastors from all across the nation as well as other countries to attend this summit, and he’s invited about 35 pastors to come and share some of our best practices. I have been asked to speak about discipleship and will share what has worked with us at Celebration Church.

What a “gig”! Seriously, this is a wonderful honor not only for you but also for our entire church! You and Pastor Kerri have certainly mapped out a “Purpose” in your lives for God, and are led by Him. We are certainly proud of this invitation by Rick Warren. I can see how you can be “pumped up”. Please “feed” or bring us some media.

Stovall, Congratulations! Both Kerri and you are big dreamers firmly planted on a mission for God. It is amazing how just like Rick and Kay Warren (1979), both sets of pastors arrived in U-hauls with very little else than a strong calling by God and both churches on opposite sides of the country exploded with growth. Dawn and I attended Saddleback Church a few years ago and it is amazing how the church has striking similarities to Celebration including unique venues and worship experiences. You will love Lake Forest if you explore the area — another neat site is the official Oakley sunglass factory — the building is cool and they even have a discount outlet about five minutes from the Saddleback campus. I think it is really neat how the vision of the Lord is unfolding around the world and on both coasts of the United States!

Congratulations, Pastor! That is awesome and Rick Warren is like you, an incredible man of God. I stand as one of many who support your travel and service for God’s Kingdom. The company I worked for prior to moving to Florida studied the Purpose Driven Life as an organization during our lunch hour every Tuesday. It changed several lives. I hope you will give us an update of how wonderful the event is.
