Leaders are good stewards of learning
By David Branker
2 Timothy 2:15 (AMP)
Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.
When we think of stewardship – we tend to think of our time, talents, and treasure. Of course it includes all of those, but it also includes our experiences. You see, we can and should be good stewards of the learning opportunities God brings us through. When we do, we discover that they are key to a life that pleases God.
Notice 2 Timothy 2:15 says that we present ourselves to God approved, when we study . . . In other words – as we seize opportunities to study and to learn, we show God that we take this gift of life He has given us seriously.
Leaders who love to learn discover that learning opportunities are everywhere. Even in difficult circumstances and in life’s failures – we can still be learners. We can experience the truth of His Word in a deeper way. See life’s journeys as doors God has opened for you to learn and then walk through them with a focus to grow.
As you do, you will find that it leads you to fruitfulness. Be a good steward of opportunities God gives you to learn and discover a life that meets with His approval.
Have you discovered you learn more from the positive or negative experiences in your life?
