Passion, Drive and Humility – Part 1
By Stovall Weems
In Luke 9:23, Jesus gives us three crucial components that every leader must have in order to advance the kingdom of God. Those components are passion, drive, and humility.
[Luke 9:23] Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
If you don’t have passion or “desire”, then you won’t have the fire or strength to have longevity. You won’t have endurance or drive and won’t have the heart for humility. We must do whatever it takes to stay fresh in God and on fire for Him. The key to longevity is keeping your relationship with Jesus your #1 priority. As soon as prayer and God’s word become “a thing” instead of “the thing”, our passion begins to fade, which means burnout or offense is right around the corner.

There was actually a time I thought only conservatives made it to heaven. lol
Now beacause of Celebration and the joy of Christ it exudes, I’m experiencing firsthand this passion you’re talking about. Thank you!
What else is there to life? Strength, passion, love and the fullness of His Holy Spirit only come from Him. Even if we think things can be built by our own efforts, we always come to understand that Jesus is the one who builds and we are the workers that help in the construction. I thank God for the moments when I enter his presence and through direct conversation with him I get the best vision for my life.
Man Stovall, your passion in bringing God’s word to the Church is what inspires me. Thank you for bringing it with Passion!
Thanks for the reminder… It is so true we have to die to ourselves daily… That is the first thing I do as I get up every morning.. Because its not about me its about what God wants to do in and through us…
Thanks for all you do..
