God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. I am so thankful to be a part of this church and its ongoing commitment to reach the world for Christ.

Thanks Pastor,

Often times Christians think that the opposition they are encountering is from the enemy but they don't realize it is God Himself who is opposing them.

God is opposed to the proud, and gives grace to the humble (those who are submitted to Him.)

"servants given the opportunity to lead" What a great reminder. My problems always seem a whole lot smaller when I choose to put others first.

That was powerful. Oftentimes I see people who are serving because they want to be recognized, but you can see in them that it is not what they really want to do. Churches are being exposed because everyone wants the title to put them in a leadership role, but noone wants to follow. We have to kill our flesh daily in order to do God's will with purpose. Thank you for the Word Pastor it is a constant reminder of what not to do to stay in God's presence. It is not easy, but it sure is fulfilling, knowing that He will never leave us.

HoLLLLaaaaa! :) There's something about serving others...help someone else and your problems will soon be forgotten. It's not about us, if you're not livin or Jesus, what are you living for?!

A 'do whatever it takes' kind of attitude is going to cause us to bump into inconvenience pretty often but we must be willing to keep our eyes focused on the goal which is advancing the Kingdom of God. Not always easy but SO worth it and SO rewarding!

Great reminder Pastor--I have rarely regretted putting someones interests ahead of my own but have almost without exception regretted placing my own interests ahead of others.
