Do the Right Thing
By Stovall Weems
Steward your life well. We are saved by grace but we succeed by stewardship. God’s grace and favor are free because of what Jesus did. However, to get results with the favor of God, we must steward our lives well.
Psalm 84:11 NLT “For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.”
Successful results come with the right actions, not the right intentions. Grace is God’s free gift, but glory (success) comes with doing the right thing!

Great word, great reminder. My mom always used to tell me “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”
Thanks to all of you who have posted comments on the last several posts. I read all of them. Great comments and insight everyone!
By the way, when I said right “actions” not right “intentions” on my last post, I am implying that our hearts are in the right place initially in both scenarios but a right heart with right actions get results as opposed to a right heart with no action.
Amen. That is so good. We can have all the right intentions but if we don’t follow through with the right actions then what good will it do
This reminds me what I heard once (was it from you?): God wants you to “Just Show Up!” You don’t have to know how He is going to use you, just be a willing vessel and Show Up! David (of the David & Goliath fame) won a great victory for his people because he Just Showed Up!
“right actions, not the right intentions” Now that’s good! Yeah, enough said. Let’s hear it pastor…..mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
